Responsibly Adult

The Pathfinder is a 333 rated sim, but the safety and comfort of our players comes above all else. This means that although our rating opens players up to different types of roleplay, these paths must be taken responsibly. Any roleplay which has the potential to trigger another individual must be approved and properly labeled in advance. Anyone who wishes to engage in explicit roleplay may do so, so long as they continue to contribute to the overall story outside of their fun.

Your Story

The Pathfinder sim has two parts to it. For many characters, there will be the opportunity to get involved in our primary missions. These missions will be the backbone of our writing for many, and serve as the ship's story. The second part of our writing will be time off shift, giving you the flexibility to explore character dynamics in different situations, along with opportunities to roleplay with those you may not normally interact with otherwise. There will also be opportunities for shore leave, during which we have no active mission and your characters have the chance to decompress.

The Pathfinder and AI

We recognize that AI can be a divisive topic, and that opinions on its acceptable use vary. To make sure you, as the player, find the right tribe, we have opted to lay out our stance on what is and is not acceptable where AI is concerned.

To put it simply, AI such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc, should not be used to generate creative written content. This includes using it to write posts (or sections of posts) from your character's perspective, personal logs, or character details as part of your character bio. AI may only be used as a reference tool, an accessibility tool, or in such a way that direct output from an LLM does not make it into your written works. AI may also be used to assist in converting information from one format to another (i.e, to describe an image) or in situations where human assistance is not able to help you complete a task.
