Mission: Episode 1: Maiden Voyage
Location: Chief Medical Officer's Office
Timeline: December 17, 2380: 1100 hours

Owen sat down at his desk; perhaps he should’ve asked Lieutenant Thul about having a larger chair brought in. He’d have to put in a request at some point soon. The man had been chasing down engineering gremlins; he’d at least be able to point Owen in the right direction. Pulling up the scans he’d taken on one display and Thul’s medical file on the other, he sat back to compare the two.

The lung damage would take time, but he was fairly certain they could begin with regenerative pulmonary therapy and see a vast improvement. He took notes as he compared the scans past and present. With a beginning plan in place for pulmonary therapy, Owen moved on to the arthritis. He hated the thought of anyone being in pain day in and day out when there was something he could potentially do about it.

Owen was fairly certain he could regenerate the damaged cartilage in the affected joints over time. He wanted to take things slowly, though, and err on the side of caution. The last thing he wanted to do was set off a systemic reaction to the newly regenerated cartilage and cause Jarec more problems.

With a plan in mind, Owen brought up the ship messaging system and began typing out a message to Jarec.

Lieutenant Thul,
As promised, I’ve put together a plan to see if we can relieve some of your symptoms. For your lungs, we can begin with Regenerative pulmonary therapy and eventually begin tapering off the medication. As for the arthritis, I believe the best course of action is to regenerate the damaged cartilage in your joints slowly. Both of these will require weekly sessions here in sickbay, but I believe, in the end, we should be able to have you pain-free and breathing easily once again. Let me know if you’d like to get started and we’ll set up a schedule.
