Holodeck Projection Grid - Lower Housing (Deck 7)

The lower housing rooms sit directly beneath the Deck 6 holodecks, at the fore port and starboard sections of the deck, holding the lower half of the structural and projection grid infrastructure that the holodecks above depend on.
Each room is dominated by a dense mesh of structural framework and projection conduit rising up into the ceiling, disappearing into the deck above through a series of reinforced access plates. The framework itself is visible rather than concealed, a lattice of dull metal beams interspersed with thinner conduit runs carrying power and data to the projection grid overhead.
A narrow catwalk runs along one side of the room at a slight elevation, allowing technicians to reach upper sections of the framework without scaffolding. A single diagnostic panel near the entrance shows structural load and grid alignment status for the holodeck directly above.
The walls are plain grey, largely obscured behind the framework itself, and the floor is a hard, grated composite in places to allow airflow around the machinery. The room carries a resonant, structural creak and hum distinct from purely electronic technical spaces - the sound of the framework itself flexing subtly under the load of the holodeck above.
